Xolile Mabuza is a 21-year-old poet from South Africa, Mbombela, Pienaar. She began writing and performing three years ago out of love for the written and spoken word.
She is a resident poet at the Casambo Jam Sessions that occur monthly. In 2018 she hosted Impepho press which consists of four amazing female Authors from South Africa. Later that year she won the 2018 slam league championship title in the in Mpumalanga. Her work has been published in the Best New African Poets 2018 Anthology and four of her short stories are published by Naane Le Moya. She has been a guest lecturer at University of the Witwatersrand where she shares her poetry. In conjunction with writing and performing poetry, she also makes clothes; designs and makes bags and accessories with recycled tubes
She believes that we all have our own ways to stitch love, life and light to this world and she is doing that through poetry.
