Victoria Hunt is an artist working in performance, dance, live art, photography and video. She was born on the un-ceded lands of the Yugambeh people (Surfers Paradise) and is of Te Arawa, Ngāti Kahungunu, Rongowhakaata, English, Irish and Finnish lineages. Her body of work Hinemihi Haka is centred on the revitalisation of Mana Atua Wahine (feminine knowledges) and the reinstatement of sacred taonga (treasured 'artefacts') back to their original homelands and peoples. Hunt's work is liminal, situational and bound to the cultural conditions surrounding it. Her award-winning work, both collaborative and solo, has garnered them commissions and acclaim at the international level.
