2019 Story-Fest Expressions Of Interest are now closed.

Each year, Story-Fest invites individuals, groups and organisations to pitch works to be staged within Festival proposed dates (17-20 October 2019) in and around The Rocks, Sydney.

Works can be in any form or genre, including but not limited to performances, workshops, panels discussions, lectures or screenings.

Story-Fest is a 3 to 4 day spoken word festival packed full of live literary mayhem in the form of spoken-word, poetry, stories, lyrics and monologues.

Held annually in October by Word Travels, the event consists of a variety of workshops, poetry slams, discussion panels and comedy acts culminating in the electrifying Australian Poetry Slam National Final at Sydney Opera House.

Story-Fest's aim is to provide a platform for people to come together in order to perform, share and learn about spoken word.

Last year, Story-Fest ‘18 was a major success, running from 19-21 October in the Sydney CBD. Word Travels collaborated with individuals, groups, and organisations to contribute events for the first year ever.
