Panel: Feminism in Poetry - What it’s like being a woman who can speak

  • Harry Jensen Activity Centre 17 Argyle Street The Rocks, NSW, 2000 Australia (map)

Chaired by Candy Royalle, this panel brings together three female poets, from a cross section of the discipline (performance poet, page poet and experimental poet) to discuss their experiences as creators. What have been their greatest challenges, how have they fought back against the misogyny they’ve experienced in the poetry world, what changes would they like to see and how are they helping other more inexperienced female poets move through what can often still feel like a male dominated industry?

Hosted by: Candy Royalle

Featuring: Gabrielle Journey Jones, Randa Abdel-Fattah and Sarah Anne Connor

Tickets: $10 / $7 Concession
