The Rumble: Young Performing Writers’ Program is an all day spoken word bonanza tailored to high school students.


VENUE NOTE:
 Access to the venue, BAY 43 is outside the Overseas Passenger Terminal on Circular Quay West. Please look for the Story-Fest '18 signage to further direct you towards BAY 43.

The Run Down

9:30am – 11:30am

Slam Wordshop: An energetic writing and performance workshop for high school students featuring two super wordsmiths, Elliot York Cameron and Sarah Temporal.

11:30am – 12:30pm

Lunch Screening: If My Town was a Poem…

A 6 part web-series that follows poets around the NSW countryside all the way to the Australian Poetry Slam National Final.

1:00pm - 2:30pm

Open Air Mic: Following the workshop, students will explore the back lanes of The Rocks and find spoken wordsmiths under bridges, in tunnels and hidden in alcoves. Then they will have the opportunity to take the open air stage themselves.
