Word Travels is looking for an enthusiastic Partnership Manager to help us bring programs like Australian Poetry Slam to the world.
Working closely with the Word Travels team you develop partnerships around a range of creative projects.
You connect with organisations and artists from across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
Demonstrated track record of initiating successful business partnerships, preferably within the not-for-profit sector and/or the arts.
Experience negotiating arts-business partnership agreements
Ability to represent Word Travels in an appropriate manner with savvy, compelling and persuasive written and verbal communication
Demonstrated ability managing donor relationships and successfully delivering sponsor benefits.
Demonstrated existing networks of potential partners
A knowledge of the arts industry, its complexities and ethics
Your position is part-time with an option to renew and increase your role after 6 months based on achieving targets.
Word Travels is a not-for-profit literary and literacy organisation creating programs for communities, libraries, schools, festivals, private companies and cultural institutions.
Our main objective is to inspire people to tell their stories in creative ways, primarily through live performance. We use stories and performance to help build communities.
We create, organise, support and present programs in Australia, NZ, Indonesia and China with a focus on using performance to showcase new writers from urban and regional areas. Our largest initiative is our international program: Australian Poetry Slam.
