Wordshops build confidence and empower people to have their voice heard.
Word Travels conducts wordshops everywhere:
Corporate offices, remote communities, schools, festivals, prisons...Anywhere words travel
Participants are aged 3 to 93.
Spoken Word is an innovative way to build interest in literacy amongst young people and important public speaking skills for adults.
Our programs have been developed by Word Travels’ Creative Director, Miles Merrill. Merrill has 18 years experience as a performing writer and educator.
Sessions are delivered by experienced performing writers and poetry slam winners. We work with your organisation to find a Wordshop model and performing writer that suits your students or staff.
Schools and Slams
3 day residency – 1 performing writer works with the school and students on creating a poetry slam program. ( includes targeted workshop program for 20 students, 1 hour show by the artist and poetry slam show presented by your students)
We can also tailor outcomes focused packages for a range of different budgets and environments. Get in touch to tell us a little about yourself and find out more.
